Blog Post
Each month we like to shout-out the awesome projects you are all getting involved in!
Lots happened this month!
Pledge for Nature joined other members of the Biosphere team to present to North Devon and Torridge Councillors at an event hosted by Energy 361. Councillors were informed about the project, how many people it's engaged so far and the main ways they can help promote nature recovery in their local town/parish.
We also spoke to some of the Aspire to Sustainability students at Petroc College about the Nature Recovery Plan and how climate change is impacting the local area.
We also visited North Devon District Hospital NHS Trust to have a look around their green space and see what could be done to improve the space for nature. We gave them some yellow rattle seeds and they sowed them a weekend later! Congratulations to them, as they've now become a Biosphere Business Partner!
This month we also held training sessions for two groups of Biosphere residents with the Westcountry Rivers Trust Citizen Scientist Investigations. Huge thanks to Lydia for running the sessions and helping us develop our network of citizen scientists!
