A team of budding River Citizen Scientists!

This month, we have seen a lot of interest in our River Citizen Science initiative with the Westcountry Rivers Trust Citizen Science Investigations! Thirty of you have expressed an interest in helping to monitor our rivers for wildlife and pollution, contributing towards our understanding of the rivers' water quality. We are now arranging the best time and a suitable location to show you how to conduct the survey - watch this space (and your emails!).

Other pledges in Sept/Oct that have stood out:

• Tom at Skern Lodge is creating a wildflower meadow
• Jackie in Barnstaple has created a wildflower bank at the bottom of her garden
• The team at The Exmoor Centre have been busy putting up bird boxes! Bird boxes were installed for robin, red start and tits, with more being added this Autumn, including ones for Kestrel and Tawny Owl
• Middle Campscott Farm are creating an Orchard
• Jeanette in Chittlehampton has pledged to make her garden more nature friendly
• Trudi and neighbours are creating a community garden in Bradiford!

And finally, we've reached over 440 signatures on our Nature Recovery Declaration! Please continue to spread the word. To turn the tide on the ecological and climate crises, we need action from everyone.
